Illebølle - Havørred Fyn Hotspot nr. 53

Illebølle resembles the spots further north, with long stretches where you can wade from sandbars, interrupted by small points with minor reefs. But one thing sets it apart: anglers fishing from shore at Illebølle have caught several true Atlantic salmon – one weighing 5 kilos and another nearly 10 kilos. Both were bright, silver salmon landed in spring. A coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

From Illebølle and southward toward the southern tip of Langeland – and all the way up to Ristinge Hale on the opposite side of the island – there are also good chances of catching cod. Cod are most often caught in the evenings and early mornings during spring and autumn – and during the daytime in winter.
