Fjordens Stemme "Voice of the Fjord" - Sound Sailing on Karrebæks Fjord

What if the fjord could tell its own story? What if, while sailing on the water, you could hear the voices from the past – fishermen, queens, and the hidden tales that have shaped the area?

With "The Voice of the Fjord", you can embark on a guided sound sailing trip and experience Karrebæk Fjord through captivating stories, supported by magical sound design and immersive compositions. These stories will unfold in your inner ear, while the beautiful South Zealand landscape forms the perfect backdrop.

Rent a boat from Marine Event, where all necessary equipment is installed, making it easy to hop on board and listen to the fjord as you sail. You can choose to bring a captain along if you're not an experienced sailor or simply want to lean back and enjoy the ride. It’s also possible to download the app “Turistperronen Lyd” and enjoy the tour with your own headphones in your own boat. "The Voice of the Fjord" will be available in both Danish and English.

Hear about the fisherman’s symbiotic relationship with the fjord, a queen and a dramatic battle once fought in the area, the love story of harvest workers at Lindholm, and a painter you might know who made his home in Karrebæksminde. All of them left their mark on the region. All are connected by the fjord—across time and space. Perhaps you’ll even rediscover your own connection to the water?

“The Voice of the Fjord” is a collaboration between Opdrift Productions, Marine Event, and Turistperronen.
The project is supported by the Rural District Fund, Spar Nord, and the Trelleborg Foundation.
