Sebberup Forest
Near Hedensted and Løsning lies Sebberup Forest, a large, newly established urban forest featuring a hiking trail, a shelter, a dog park, and outdoor fitness facilities. The forest is an ideal destination for a trip into nature.
Peaceful nature close to town
In the 1990s and early 2000s, a large area of new forest was planted east of Løsning and north of Hedensted. Sebberup Forest was established in a hilly, glacial landscape and features a wide variety of tree species. Over the decades, these trees have matured, creating a diverse forest with unique visual elements. The forest also includes clearings and small forest ponds.
Sebberup Forest is essentially divided into two sections: a northern and a southern forest, separated by approximately 600 meters.
Hiking in the forest
The southern part of Sebberup Forest is connected by a 3.5-kilometer marked hiking route, indicated by red arrows and dots. The trail winds through varied terrain and passes several attractions, including a forest fitness area where you can use outdoor equipment free of charge. There are 12 activity stations marked with pictograms, and QR codes are available for training tips.
Along the trail, you’ll also find informational signs about various plants and trees.
The route passes a charming shelter area with a firepit, toilet facilities, and picnic tables where you can take a break. Overnight stays in the shelter are free, operating on a first-come, first-served basis, with space for up to six people. Note that you cannot deny others access if there’s still room.
Parking is available on Remmerslundvej. Opposite the recycling center, a gravel road leads to a circular parking area, which serves as the starting point of the hiking route.
Bring your dog to the forest
In the northern part of Sebberup Forest, you’ll find the 6-hectare Løsning Dog Park. This fenced area allows dogs to run freely and make new playmates. The park is well-equipped with waste bins and picnic tables. Its size makes it suitable for off-leash walks while still offering enough space for solitude. The enclosure includes a water/swamp area and several open spaces.
Løsning Dog Park has a parking lot accessible via a gravel road from the northern side of Stubberupvej.
