Tour de Gudenå

In September, the Danish Canoe and Kayak Federation is once again organising the Tour de Gudenå kayak race. Try your hand at the tour on Denmark's longest river and experience the beautiful Gudenå.

Are you ready for a challenge on the water? Tour de Gudenå is a kayak race for advanced kayakers that stretches from Silkeborg to Randers and is known for its rugged nature. The race is divided into three distances to provide a challenge for rowers of different levels.

25, 44 or 72 km on Gudenåen

The three distances of the Tour de Gudenå are 25, 44 and 72 km respectively. On all three tours, you will have the opportunity to take a break and receive some refreshments before continuing along the river towards the finish line in Randers. The two longest distances offer a single carry-over at Tangeværket. Here the kayak must be carried approximately 200 metres.

All participants have 10 hours to complete the race.

Finish in the heart of Randers

The tour ends at Justesens Plæne in the centre of Randers, where Gudenåen becomes Randers Fjord. There is ample parking close to the lawn so family and friends can meet you at the finish line. You will also receive a medal for your participation in the race, so you can always remember the day's hardships and your performance on Gudenåen.

Updates on Tour de Gudenå 2025 will follow.
